This year’s Salomon X-Trail Run (SXTR) takes trail running to a whole new level at Macritchie Reservoir.
The location has been chosen for its serene offerings to let runners better appreciate nature’s tranquility. Not to mention, the fresh morning air that never fails to create that exhilarating effect will have you coming back to relive the encounter.
The organisers have decided to turn the race a notch up with a distance of 12km instead of the usual 10km featured in previous years. Runners will tackle the undulating terrain, made up mostly of sand and gravel, surrounded by the reservoir’s scenic view. Depending on the weather, mud-prone areas might sprout up if conditions get a tad too wet.
