Building on the success of the Kellevie 12/24 hour Mountain Bike race and the Avanti Plus 6 hour, we are pleased to announce the next instalment at this great race track -the Appleby Avanti Plus 8 hour to be held at the Kellevie Mountain Bike Park March 27th 2011. The race will cater for all skill levels from beginners to professionals, with the option to race solo or in a team of up to four riders. Each year the Kellevie races attract more riders. With an improved track and larger prize purse including cash prizes for the fastest Male and Female solo riders, the event is expected to easily exceed previous competitor numbers. There has been more work done on the course ensuring this year’s event will be giving riders some new tracks to play on. Kellevie races have always had an amazing atmosphere and vibe on the course as well as in the village and this year we want to build on that with a DJ, lots of giveaways and more shelter for riders and spectators.
