Come to beautiful Bridport on March 17,2012 and take part in the north east's only multisport event. This is the second year of the Bridport Gold and it is just getting better. Although we are a surf life saving club, this great event is open to all comers.
At this time of the year the conditions are perfect for water events; warm water and calm seas.
the senior event (16 years or older) begins with a 2 km open water swim, followed by a 2km run along the Bridport estuary on a pebble track. It’s then back into the water for a 14km paddle (surf ski, kayak etc). The paddle may be lengthened or shortened on the day depending on ocean conditions. The final leg is a run across "the channel" and along the beach almost Tobarnbougle golf course; about 5 km return.
Last year's winner completed the course in under 1hour and 45 minutes can you top this?
