Vanuatu will once again hold its’ popular, annual Wilco Round Island Relay on 21 July and organisers are urging Australians to get their running legs on and give this festive race a try.

Taking place around the main island of Efate, the run is through jungles, beautiful beaches and local villages. Traditionally run on Independence Day, the race is a key highlight of the celebrations for the local Ni-Vanuatu who decorate their villages and line the streets to cheer on the runners.

There are three categories, ‘Premier Male’ and ‘Premier Female’ for serious runners and ‘Social Runners’ for those who want to be part of the event but don’t want to start with the competitive runners. Teams of ten adults can enter the race with each leg of the relay being between 13km and 15km.
