A great adventure, and a big day out on the water - whether you're in it to win it, out for a little paddle training or just catching up with friends and singing silly songs!
This four hour 'paddlegaine' style event will see teams of two collect a hidden treasure map to kick the event off, whether that be cracking a code, digging for gold or perhaps being bold! With a choice of BYO or use our kayaks, you will navigate your way around a rogaine style course, racing against the clock and other teams.
For the not so serious there’ll be best dressed team/craft prizes. The only requirement is that your craft is a kayak, canoe, or surf ski with positive buoyancy, no advantage gaining sails allowed (merely decorative and likely to hinder are oarsome). Single craft and SUP's (Stand-Up Paddleboards) may be used when paired with a second paddler in a single craft.
The Theme for the 2013 event is: Kayaks, corsairs and cutlasses! Come dressed in your best pirate kit-out for a bonus 20 points towards your days score!
