Winter Challenge 8hr Adventure Race

Back by popular demand after it’s successful third running in 2013, this eight-hour, non-stop, navigation-based Adventure Race will once again include kayaking, mountain biking, trekking and some adventure activities.

What:
Two different courses are being prepared to challenge teams of two. There are three categories in each course: female, male and mixed.
The Pro Course has a time limit of nine hours, with an expected winning time under six hours.
The Lite Course has a time limit of eight hours. with an expected winning time of approximately four hours.

When&Where:
The date for your diaries is Sunday 17 August, 2014, Central Victoria. The exact location – to be announced about two weeks prior the start – is about 180km north of Melbourne.

$1000 cash prizes:
$1050 prize money for the Pro Course up for grabs*.
*($200 first place in category, $100 second, plus $150 overall winners bonus. Category prizes paid only if there are three or more teams in category)

Presentation dinner
Electronic timing,
Kayaks, PFDs, paddles (Lite course only). Lite course can use their own kayaks. For Pro course kayaks are not provided by default, but stable sit-on-top boats could be provided with an extra $60 fee. More advanced kayaks could be rented at Peakadventure.

Teams:
There are three categories: Male teams, Female teams and Mixed teams of two.

Entry Fee:

Early bird till June 1st:
Pro: $299 per team of two
Lite: $279 per team of two
General etnry till July 17th:

Pro: $349 per team of two*
Lite: $329 per team of two*

*A $50 per team late fee applies if registration occurs after 5th August
