60k/40k/20k Mountain Bike race.
Welcome to the 5th annual Misty Mountain Marathon (this event was formally know as the Mebbin Springs MTB Enduro). The Course and Location at Interaction was terrific in 2012 (Super fast and dry) so we are sticking with it. This is a fun and challenging event open to anyone with a mountain bike.
But you better do some training! Beginners, novices, veterans and elite riders are all invited to come out and enjoy a great day of riding/racing. Solo and 2 Person Team category events.
Please note this race is not on fathers day (its the day before Fathers day)
Race inside a volcano! The Misty Mountain MTB Marathon (Mebbin springs) private property is inside the magnificent Wollumbin (Mt Warning) volcanic caldera. This stunning area encompasses the massive 20 million year old shield volcano with surrounding views of the outer rim in every direction. From this area you can clearly see the impressive 600m high crater wall reaching up into the Border Ranges National Park.
The Misty Mountain Marathon will start at the Interaction Outdoor pursuit centre area just 1.5hrs south of the Gold Coast/Brisbane.
