The Earthwise Kaimai Classic will be back on 28 April 2013 after a hiatus in 2012. The event returns to its familiar home, kicking off at McLaren Falls Park in the Kaimai Ranges to traverse 70km across run, mountain bike, kayak and road cycle courses to finish at Te Puna & this year’s event is bolstered by hosting the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic BOP & Waikato Secondary School Multisport Championships. There’s just one distance option here folks - 70km of goodness which can be tackled as an individual or in more manageable chunks as a team of between 2 and 5 members. Organisers are excited to be back - to offer a professionally run event that's big on fun without an over the top price tag. So get amongst it – it’s going to be a “Classic reunion”.

The journey
• 5km Off-Road Run. A stunning collection of trails inside McLaren Falls Park
• 17km Mountain Bike. Varied terrain alongside the picturesque Ruahihi Canal
• 11km Kayak. Safe and scenic paddle down the Wairoa River
• 23km Road Bike. Predominantly flat blat through the streets of Te Puna
• 11km Road Run. Testing finale through the Te Puna countryside
