New for 2013 is the Lake Mountain Skyrun - an easy 14 / 21 and slightly harder 31km event in the Alps only 90 minutes from Melbourne.
The aim is to build this event up with a 52km distance in 2014 in the lead up to the Alpine Challenge. A great hit out for the experienced runner and a great introduction to trail running and the Mountains for people wanting to gain more experience and transition from road to trail.
This is a great place for runners to test their navigation skills in a relatively safe environment.
