Location: Clonbinane Forest (Mt Disappointment Plateau, just an hour north of Melbourne)
Courses: Two score courses are on offer: 2 or 3 hours.
Total distance to get all 20 controls will be around 50 km with approx 800m climb, but the central group of controls lies in much gentler country.
A good finish for the year. You might consider riding in pairs but of course single entries are welcome.
This is the first use of the area since the 2009 fires. Many of the old bush tracks have disappeared so it’s mainly fast forestry roads with just some of the old boggy 4wd tracks remaining. Hardly any single track. There is good camping available at the reconstructed No. 1 Camp.
