The 4th and improved Bay Adventure Festival includes three events and will be held on Saturday 15 February 2014 in and around Shoal Bay, Fingal Bay and Nelson Bay in the area of Port Stephens in NSW.
The Summer Run will commence at Shoal Bay and include an exciting run course using beach, parks, forest and footpath, all the way to Corlette and back, finishing in the Shoal Bay Park. There is a 12 and 6km course option.mander Shores at Soldiers Point.
The adventure event challenges participants to complete the course as individuals, teams of 2 or relay teams of 2 to 4. This off road multi-sport event will see participants swim 1.5km in Shoal Bay , then Mountain Bike Ride through national park to Fingal Bay headland and back, then Kayak around Shoal Bay and the final leg running from Shoal Bay to into the Tomoree headland to near Fingal Bay and back.
2014 sees the introduction of an off-road triathlon event for those who don't kayak.
