Any team that enters a regional XRACE has automatically qualified for the Rotorua XRACE grand final. The grand final is held over two days and is twice the family fun.
The inaugural XRACE champions of New Zealand were a mother and 8-year-old daughter team from Gisborne - Zara and Leigh Potter. This completely unfancied team flew under the radar, hung in there through all the 20 challenges over 2 days - arrived in 5th place at the very last challenge and beat all the other teams from around New Zealand and were crowned XRACE champions of New Zealand.
For the 2014 grand final, we will be having a celebrationary prize giving and disco to be held at XRACE headquarters Holiday Inn Rotorua.
