WW1 Queenslander Challenge - Townsville

Mates4Mates and Executive Excellence are very proud to bring you a unique opportunity to commemorate the sacrifices made by the brave men and women of Queensland in WW1 with the Queenslander Challenge. You and your mates will be tested both physically and emotionally in this challenging 100 km trek.

Achieve your once in a lifetime opportunity to complete this journey with your mates in relay teams or as individuals.

Townsville in North Queensland is the gateway to the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, wet tropics rainforest, tropical islands, wetlands, national parks and historical, military and outback experiences.Boasting over 300 days of sunshine each year, Townsville is a holiday destination perfect for families, couples and friends, with more than 700 dining outlets, unique retailing and attractions, 3,000 hotel rooms and world class events and entertainment.This is a trekking journey of almost one hundred kilometres in relay teams.Those teams who have risen to the challenge will carry a brick – however, this is no ordinary brick. It will be engraved with the names of fallen soldiers of World War 1 – all of whom called North Queensland home. All of the bricks carried by dedicated participants will form part of a new memorial dedicated to these fallen soldiers.
