Race the Mountain Bike endurance series that rocks!
Round 2 will take you to the hugely popular trails at Awaba MTB Park, just outside of Newcastle in Cooranbong. It's about an hour's drive North from Sydney. The course there is very flowy with lush rain forests and "old-school" bush single trails. We usually mix it up and use different trail combinations every year for this event - we'll be working together with our hosts from the Hunter MTB Club who always have great ideas and awesome trail combo's up their sleeves!
Compete for four or seven hours solo or ride the awesome course in teams – the choice is yours! Experience a fantastic endurance race and that signature Rocky Trail event atmosphere. Great for spectators to see the mountain bike racing action up close – entry is free. Stay on beautiful Lake Macquarie or in Newcastle for a weekend away!
The Shimano Mountain Bike GP is also hosting the official JetBlack NSW/ACT Bike Shop Trophy – customers and bike shop staff can ride for a designated bike shop and go into an additional ranking over the entire series. With kids races and music, the event centre will be pumping.
