The Ghost Road Enduro is a heli-assisted enduro style racing experience in the wild West Coast's stunning backcountry.
On 31 January (entries open 10 November) we will bring you something new. An opportunity to race on the West Coast's greatest trail, the Old Ghost Road. This will be a heli-assisted, staged event spanning Ghost Lake Hut to the Lyell.
The course will cover 30kms and be a four stage race starting from the Ghost Lake Hut and finishing at the Lyell.
For now we are keeping the timed sections under wraps but we can share that there is 300m of climbing and 1,400m of descending, that's a good ratio in our books. Don't be deluded by the climbing, it will give your lungs a work out.
The course will see you traversing open alpine mountain ridges through to lush West Coast rain forest. This is a true backcountry experience.
