Southern Highlands Challenge

The Camelbak Southern Highlands Challenge trail running festival offers a scenic and challenging route through the forests and farmland of the Southern Highlands of NSW. Runners will experience hammering singletrack, forest tracks, dirt roads and no asphalt whatsoever.

Exciting short, medium, long and ultra distances are available for runners of all abilities: everyone from experienced marathoners to newbies, school children to pensioners.

Everyone is welcome at this family-friendly event at the beautiful Wingello forest in the Southern Highlands.

KIDS' FUN RUN
A non-competitive 1km around the campground
BLUE EVENT- SHORT DISTANCE
Flat and navigable 6km without any major climbs or technical sections. This course is run on wide fire trails passing through pine forests, though the final couple of hundred of metres does narrow into a single file trail.

YELLOW EVENT - MIDDLE DISTANCE
Distance is approximately 18km. These trails are wide and smooth enough to offer some fast running, but the 'yellow' course does contain some significant ascents and descents with around 500 metres of elevation gain in total.
RED EVENT - LONG DISTANCE
Distance is approximately 24kms and the total elevation gain is about 600 metres run almost entirely on single track
RED/YELLOW/BLUE EVENT - ULTRA
One loop of each of the above, for a total approx 49 kms.
