The Kokoda Stampede Trail Running Series will take place this year in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Melbourne. With 5km and 10km distances available the events cater for those new to trail running and also to the experienced trail runner.
Starting at the Picnic Grounds at Ferntree Gully National Park, the route immediately tests your stamina on the Belview Loop Trails. The course then requires participants to tackle some technical descents as you make your way through the fire trails in the dry open forest.
You'll most likely be joined on the course by kookaburras, rosellas and beautiful rainbow lorikeets before finishing back at the Kokoda Memorial in Ferntree Gully Picnic Grounds.
