The Wanaka Sun Marathon Event is an off road sporting event held in April each year and is a great time to experience the autumn colours that really light up the river and forest trails…
The Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km & 5km events all start at the Albert Town Tavern on the outskirts of Wanaka. All are loop courses and are run over well groomed trails that meander alongside the beautifully scenic Cluther River.
*Marathon Course – there is approx 276m of ascent / descent along the course.
