After being heralded in 2017 as one of the best adventure races in years "a real racers race", Hells Bells returns in 2018 to the stunning Sunshine Coast region for another edition of its famous 24hr race. Hells Bells has a proud history as one of the country’s longest running 24 hour adventure races, and will once again serve up everything an adventure racer dreams of in a heart stopping 24hr race.
To accrue points for the series, teams must compete in the premier 24hr Hells Bells race as a team of four, just like the other races in the series. However Hells Bells race director Chris Dixon is running a slightly shorter version called Fairy Bells, as well as offering two-person formats, to encourage involvement in the sport. This is purposely designed as a stepping stone to Hells Bells and longer races.
Whilst Fairy Bells and the two-person format racing do not offer points towards the series or A1 Club, for those wanting to taste all that adventure racing has to offer in a compact 16 - 20 hours (yes that’s right, still that long!) this might just be the race for you.This will be the fastest of the 2018 Series races, making every route choice critical in the race for the podium.
