XTERRA Racing in The Rockies July 16

There are wealth of great XTERRA events in the Mountain Region this season, but only one dishes out qualifying spots to the World Championship and big points in the XTERRA America and XTERRA Pan America Tour.

XTERRA Beaver Creek returns to Avon, Colorado July 16 for the eighth straight year. It’s the course that American great Josiah Middaugh built, so you know it’s tough.

“Of the plethora of endurance events on this state’s summer sports calendar, perhaps none screams “Colorado” as much as XTERRA,” wrote Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post.  “You know, just a quick dip in a mountain lake, a mountain bike ride up a ski hill — with 3,600 feet of climbing — and nearly six miles of running on dirt trails through aspen and pine trees.”

With so much on the line you can rest assured the best-of-the-best from around the country are headed to the Rockies for the challenge.

P.S. Stick around for the XTERRA Beaver Creek 5k/10k/20k trail runs on Sunday, July 17.
