Tinley Still Going Off (Road)
XTERRA Hall of Famer Scott Tinley, one of triathlons original off-roaders, will host a new mountain bike triathlon at China Peak Resort in Central California this September 8-10.
One of the founding members of the XTERRA Tribe and co-contributing founder of all things dirty in the multisport world, Tinley is working with the China Peak Resort to host his long-standing Tinley’s Adventures, an event that worked closely with XTERRA in developing the entire concept of off-road triathlons since 1994.
A true multi-day event, Tinley’s weekend of racing will feature both on and off-road events, hill climbs, and youth events.
“Once we get the bugs worked out of this idyllic setting, we hope to become a part of the XTERRA Series,” said Tinley. “First, I need to make sure the hills are steep and the beer is cold.”
