Taste Le Croc!

The Crocodile Trophy has always been extremely popular among Europeans, but over the last few years has evolved to suit the technical skills and sense of adventure of Aussie MTBers, as last year’s winner, Queenslander Mark Frendo, proved. The early years’ endless days of bulldust and corrugations are gone, replaced by hours of new singletrack built by World Trail’s Glen Jacobs in the lush tropical rainforest and open bushland of the Atherton Tablelands. As the course has been refined, so have the creature comforts. While most competitors still camp, it is possible to stay in privately booked accommodation at all but one night on the new route from Cairns to the new race finish at Port Douglas.

Australian riders interested in the event can call us at Rocky Trail for more information - as the Austro-Australian ambassador for the Croc, Martin will race it for the fifth time this year and Juliane as the event's Press Officer can provide more details as well. For the full stage plan and to register, visit the Croc website.
