We have been monitoring recent weather conditions in New South Wales and with the current forecast for the Nelson Bay Region, the event is currently going ahead as scheduled.
The current forecast for the region has forecast showers for Saturday and Sunday, so although it will be wet, currently the event is able to continue safely.
The sandy makeup of the trails in Tomaree National Park means they hold up well in these conditions, and a course inspection this afternoon has confirmed that all trails are in a rideable / runable condition.
For Trail Run Australia athletes, the forecast showers means that all athletes will have to carry all discretionary equipment. These items will be checked as part of the Equipment Check before registration, so please ensure you have all of the compulsory and discretionary equipment with you on the day because missing equipment = no registration and no start.
