SNOWY MOUNTAINS, NSW  The countrys most iconic Mountain Bike Stage Race event returns to the spectacular Snowy Mountains from 9-11 February 2024! Each stage has its own unique high-country character and terrain and includes the perfect mix of fast flowing single track, downhill descents, undulated climbs, techy challenges and groomed trails including a good helping of vertical climbing and descending.  If riding up hills and barrelling down descents at full speed tickles your fancy, its time to saddle up and immerse yourself in the Snowies High Country.

AND THE KICKER& a one off chance to ride the FULL LENGTH of the iconic Thredbo Valley Track on CLOSED TRAILS.

This legendary trail is a MUST DO on your MTB bucket list and Stage 3 Snowies Legends Descent is the only time you can experience, without interruption, the pure elation of 42km of sheer Mountain Bike heaven from top to bottom.

Throughout the stages, immerse yourself in the Thredbo Valley as you traverse the banks of the Thredbo River on super fun trails that climb and descend on an epic high-country roller-coaster ride.  Ride the trails overlooking Lake Jindabyne, take in the snow gum forests pierced by crystal clear mountain streams as well as Alpine meadows and granite outcrops. And even race our very own Man from Snowy River on the trail network from Lake Crackenback Resort, the launchpad to some of the worlds best rideable terrain.

Forget the tarmac and gravel, this is unadulterated mountain bike heaven in the heart of the Snowies.

This world class riding is all within a 18km radius.  And, for stages away from the resort theres a bus to transport you and your bike the 10 minutes to your destination. With the Alpine Larder just a few pedal pushes from the finish line weve got the Social Scene covered.  Regarded as one of the most relaxed and welcoming MTB stage races youll make new friendships on and off the bike as you enjoy time with your mates and share your war stories over a bevvy or two.

We all agree, a beer and pizza always tastes so much better surrounded by your best mates, a mountain vista and fresh mountain air, after a big day pushing out the ks on the trails.

All entries for the Snowies MTB Festival Stage Race received between 10am and 8pm AEST will save 50% off the full price entry.

The one day special includes the Wild Brumby Stage Race (solo and team) and the Brumby Stage Race (solo and team).  Entries for the Weekend Rider and Day Rider will open on the 7th of July at the Super Early Bird Entry price.
