The Wye Peak Challenge is not for the faint hearted. Its a unique 8.5 km scenic trail run/walk that involves
significant elevation, curving up and around the township, taking in views of the ocean, bush and the
quaint Wye River itself.
It is a community fund raising event supported by the local businesses to help bring life back into the town
after the 2015 bushfire and help the Surf Lifesaving Club rebuild its much loved and needed bunkhouse.
Come down for the weekend, bring a tent, tow a van, or rent a house with some friends. The run starts at
9am, with staggered starts to encourage all fitness levels, start and finishing at the Wye River Surf
Lifesaving Bunkhouse.
