Sunshine Coast Returns!

We are heading back to Wildhorse Mountain and entries are open!

It’s been a little while since we’ve raced at Wildhorse Mountain on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, but we are heading back in July 2026 for another adventure.

The event centre is just off the Bruce Highway, meaning getting to and from the event is a breeze whether you are travelling from Brisbane, the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast. The maze of trails through the pine forest adds an extra layer of adventure and the views from Wild Horse Mountain, the most easterly of the Glasshouse Mountains, are stunning. You might even catch a glimpse of the brumbies for which the mountain is named.

The Classic course is the flattest of all the races in the series but the navigation can be tricky with the sheer number of trails through the pine forests, some are very overgrown and easy to miss! Teams will need to be on their toes as they weave back and forth during the mountain bike and trail running legs. The kayaking is on the upper reaches of the Pumistone Passage along Hussey Creek.

If you are new to the sport of adventure racing, the Novice course is designed just for you. A detailed briefing and tips and tricks session with the Race Director before the start will ensure you and your teammate are well prepared for an unforgettable day.

The Sunshine Coast location is a popular one for teams across Queensland and one that should be listed in your event calendar in pen, not pencil.
