Melrose Fat Tyre Festival

Set at the base of Mt Remarkable the quaint little town of Melrose is a mountain bikers paradise. With open farmlands the sheep have carved some epic trails and then there's the purpose built network closer to town. The Fat Tyre Festival is the most laid back event on the mountain biking calendar with skills clinics, epic rides and short trail explorations all on the cards over the June long weekend. Ride one or ride them all but just leave time to enjoy a wind down at the North Star Hotel, a classic restored old pub.
