The event is a combination of Foot and MTB orienteering stages. A typical course may start with a foot stage then onto the bike to another map handout location, followed by another foot stage then onto the bike to the finish. The MTB stages will be a line course (collect the controls in order). The foot stages will be a scatter course (collect a set number of controls in any order). The event locations will normally be held in areas where orienteering maps have previously been used and parklands.
