For 2013 the Granite Grind will be presented by the Murrindindi Cycle Club; changes in management at Lake Mountain presented us with the opportunity of taking over organizing the race, and we are excited about it and look forward to putting on a great event.
We have a great race planned for the 24thof February, actual start times will be confirmed and entries taken when ENTRY ZONE return from holidays in the first week of January; for now however, we can share a few details:
This year we are trying a new format, a 2 and 4hr Enduro plus a single speed class. The course will be changed slightly from previous years, the start lap going straight up a steep 4x4 track that will certainly thin out the crowds and a slightly easier race loop with a little less climbing and a few more opportunities to pass or take a drink. This is not a dumbed down course by any means, just a little more user friendly, don’t forget to bring your “mad skills” as the kids say.
