A careful look at the schedule for 'pre-race entertainment' unearths this gem... "Australian Bike Throwing Competition 6pm"... that's got to be worth it alone then a great new race on the Sunday.
The Dungog Duathlon is a charitable event set in the beautiful and rugged Dungog Common. The race begins with a 10 km run followed by a 40 km mountain bike ride and to bring it home a 6 km run to the finish line. The tracks and course have been carefully chosen to be comparable with the best you will find anywhere in Australia. The race is taking place on Sunday 26 May 2013 with pre-race entertainment and camping on Saturday 25 May. Entry is open to individuals to complete the complete course and also for teams of 2 or 3. (Please note that we also have a service to find a team for those who want to take part as a team member but couldn't find others mad enough to join them.
