In 2011, the organisers of the Pacific Ocean Series were the first to come up with the concept of a Queensland Ocean Racing Championships. We are proud to announce that in 2013, ‘The Gold Rush’ will host this years championships. There is no better place in Queensland to have the final event of the 2013 season ande are looking forward to crowning our PACOS series, P2F Triple Crown and Qld Ocean Racing Champions.
The course will be a 20km downwind paddle from Bilinga SLSC out to Rainbow Bay and then a solid downwind to Mermaid Beach SLSC. However, if a northerly wind blows the course will change and start from the Sand Pumping Jetty to Miami Headland (Nth Burleigh SLSC) and back to Mermaid Beach SLSC.
