The Great Zombie Escape is a fun run competition that lets you test out what you will do when the zombie apocalypse hits! We plan to have two waves during the escape to give participants the chance to eat and be eaten! We would like to welcome our major sponsor onboard – The Barn Fruit & Veg Yeppoon. We had to choose wisely for the zombies so we have gone vegetarian!
We have chosen the amazing Byfield rainforest setting for this awesome event. Set on private land thanks to Byfield Getaways, humans (runners) will have a 5km track to run from zombies.
The date has been set – Saturday 15 November, 2014 – and entrants will be able to register soon so stay tuned!
Wave 1 will start at 10am. All entrants must arrive by 9am for check in, zombie escape briefings and zombie makeup.
Wave 2 will start at 2pm. All entrants must arrive by 1pm for check in, zombie escape briefings and zombie makeup.
Those looking to be Both Zombie and Human Can compete in different Waves.
We’ll have makeup and FX teams ready to transform our zombie entrants into fearsome zombies! (Makeup only – costume is your own adventure.)
This event will be for ages 12 and over.
