AdventureRace.com.au does not normally list standard triathlons but this one is unique. The 21.1km run is almost entirely off-road and with a challenging course that sees competitors climbing stairs to crest hills we feel it meets the criteria of being predominantly off-road.
Based in the beautiful township of Picton in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds this event offers the best that New Zealand has in regards to the outdoors. This is a must do race, taking advantage of the best swimming, cycling and running that the region has to offer.
It is a 1.9km swim from the beautiful Picton foreshore in the protected harbour, a 93km bike ride around what is in most part the iconic Forrest Graperide course starting and finishing from Picton, and a 21.1km running course through native bush right on Picton's doorstep!
