Mountain Designs Adventure Race Australia Heads to the Nation’s Capital at Royal Military College Duntroon

Hardcore Adventure in Support of our Wounded Servicemen & Women

Australia’s favourite adventure series heads to the Nation’s capital on the 27th of July for round three of this national series, and in breaking news the base for the event will be at Royal Military College Duntroon.
The Royal Military College - Duntroon prepares cadets and other selected candidates for careers in the Army by promoting leadership and integrity, by inspiring high ideals and the pursuit of excellence, and by inculcating a sense of duty, loyalty and service to the nation.
Robyn Lazenby, managing director at In 2 Adventure says, “The Royal Military College Duntroon, represents an ideal base for the series, which is run in support of Soldier On, a charity who provides support to wounded servicemen and women and their families.
To base the series in the Nation’s capital at the prestigious training college will truly help support the aim to raise awareness of the challenges facing our servicemen and women who return from conflicts with both physical and mental injuries. And, with teams who will be taking part in the event fundraising for the charity, it will help raise much needed funds to support the ongoing treatment and rehabilitation required by those who have given so much in service of their country.
Along with all that the most inspiring part for us is to be able to offer the opportunity for our wounded service men and women to take part in the event as part of their rehabilitation program.
It is a wonderful opportunity and will definitely present teams taking part with some of the most unique and exhilarating adventure challenges of the series.”
Mountain Designs Adventure Race Australia is a team event and includes a combination of mountain biking, trail running, map reading and some very unique adventure challenges that promise to be some of the most exciting of the season. The joy of the sport is being challenged by the unknown and being faced with the unexpected in a fun team environment.
The event is open to all comers with courses for complete beginners (with GPS navigation) right through to those who enjoy the challenge of a long distance hardcore adventure.
